General Manager Letter
Dear friends of Faith Bible Camp,
Anticipation is building now as we’re just days away from the first FBC Campers of the 2024 season arriving for Young Adult Weekend. Thanks to your enthusiastic participation in our two pre-season work bees, the campsite is ready for a full summer of growing in Faith and Friendship.
We’re so excited to have our camps full of enthusiastic children and teens waiting to hear about Jesus while enjoying God’s creation to the fullest. With 548 campers registered across 8 camps, we’re already expecting more campers in 2024 than we saw through all of 2023. Response to our camps has been so overwhelming, in fact, that several of our camps have waiting lists of youth that we can’t accept because we just don’t have enough beds to fit them all
Fortunately, plans that were first announced at the FBC Celebration Banquet in the fall of 2023 for the construction of a new Boys Camper Duplex are well underway! This final camper cabin will expand our camp’s capacity to accept campers and also provide the camp’s first fully wheelchair-accessible camper accommodations. What a blessing it will be for our camp starting in the summer of 2025!
New buildings, of course, don’t grow on trees. We anticipate that costs for the design, materials, and labour for this final camper duplex will come to $150,000. Financially, God’s people have continually given over the years to the ministry at Faith Bible Camp, resulting in wonderful facilities, including the recent construction of the $1.7 million dining hall. We trust that God will continue to provide through His people for this need.
Looking beyond 2024, Faith Bible Camp’s ability to meet the needs of its program will require continued vision for the future. That’s why FBC will be presenting a new Long-Term Facilities Plan for its site at the FBC Celebration Banquet in the fall of 2024. This plan will outline how our Camp facility will evolve and grow to support our campers, staff, and program in the years to come.
We hope that you’ll join with us in prayer, participating, and giving to God’s Work at FBC into the future!
Yours in Christ, on behalf of the FBC Executive Committee
Andrew Hayes,
General Manager
