General Director Letter - March 4

Dear supporters of Faith Bible Camp,

We had a tremendous Winter Weekend retreat from February 16 to 18! With 73 youth and 20 volunteer staff, it was a blessing to fellowship and be together. Thank you to Ryan Evans, who served as a speaker, Heidi Clark, our Head Cook, and our dedicated team of volunteers, who planned and implemented an incredible weekend for our campers.

I am pleased to report that there are currently 397 campers registered for our summer camp sessions. We have eight camp sessions for ages 8 to young adults, and we look forward to seeing how the Lord will move in the lives of our campers this summer. Three of our sessions are at or near capacity, and I encourage everyone to register as soon as possible to ensure they don’t miss out. We especially seek campers ages 8-11 to register for our Kids Summer Camp sessions. Conveniently register online at faithbiblecamp.org to confirm a spot.

As spring nears, it is exciting to know that we are just four months away from the start of our summer ministry at Faith Bible Camp! The Executive Committee and our seasonal directors, speakers, and cabin leaders are planning, preparing, and praying for another fruitful season of ministry. However, much work is still ahead, and prayer is needed as we seek the Lord’s leading.

Volunteer at Camp

Whether for spring pre-season, during summer, or fall post-season, many work and workers are needed to make a summer of ministry occur. We greatly value and rely on volunteers to make this happen, especially those who fellowship with our member churches. There are two work bees planned to help get the campsite ready. We invite you and your family and friends to join us on Saturday, June 1 and Saturday, June 22. Lunch is provided, and this is an excellent opportunity to serve the Lord together. Please RSVP on our website or by contacting the camp office directly.

To join our 2024 summer staff team, please apply online at faithbiblecamp.org to serve a week or more this summer. Please note that we have received numerous applications, and the Staff Selection Committee will try to accommodate as many people as possible. However, many people will not be able to serve for the sessions they have applied. Please get in touch with me to discuss available ministry positions and for more details.

Leadership Training Program

A reminder that the deadline to apply for our Leadership Training Program and for all references to be received is April 15. Only a maximum of 12 participants will be selected based on the best fit for the group and our ministry. As such, the date applications are received is not a determining factor. Please visit our website for more information on our Leadership Training Program.

Please continue to keep FBC in your prayers as the 2024 season approaches. I hope to see many of you this spring and summer!

On behalf of the FBC Executive Committee,

Kent Rygiel
